After you have completed your IRGA form and attached all relevant documents a big green button labelled ‘Submit this research proposal’ appears at the bottom of the ‘Submission Overview’ tab page.
Once you click this you have the option to select a supervisor.
If your supervisor has a University of Southampton account and email then they are an INTERNAL supervisor. This is the default setting, so simply search for them in the User Search box. If they have a common name such as Smith, and you know their username you can enter their username to significantly reduce the search results.
Once you have found them, simply click their name and they are added as your supervisor.
If your supervisor does NOT have a University of Southampton account and email (e.g. NHS, hotmail, gmail etc…) you can use the ‘external supervisor’ submission method.
